PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Glutamine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dark Matter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Glutamine might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glutamine ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Glutamine dodges the punch combination from Matter.
Matter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Glutamine shoots in but Matter avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Matter tries to bum rush Glutamine with a series of wild strikes but Glutamine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Glutamine uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Matter.
Matter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Matter misses with a series of wild punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Glutamine.

Matter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Matter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Glutamine.
Glutamine tries to clinch but Matter moves out of range.
Glutamine shoots in looking for a takedown. Matter tries to sprawl out of it but Glutamine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Matter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Glutamine counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Matter is lucky that one didn't land flush.
