Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Monsignor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Woodcock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Woodcock acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Herbert Monsignor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Woodcock!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monsignor misses with a head kick.
Woodcock connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Monsignor takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Monsignor tries to clinch up but Woodcock circles away and keeps his distance.

Monsignor moves into range and clinches up with Woodcock.

Monsignor ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Monsignor no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Woodcock gets to his feet. Monsignor looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Woodcock lands a body shot.
Woodcock cracks Monsignor with a good jab.
Monsignor shoots in but Woodcock avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Woodcock changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Monsignor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Monsignor tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Woodcock wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Woodcock has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Woodcock controls Monsignor momentarily but Monsignor frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

No joy there for Woodcock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Monsignor is looking to reverse the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Monsignor moves in looking to clinch but Woodcock pushes him off.
