Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Top Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gun tries to clinch up but Marley circles away and keeps his distance.
Gun throws a series of strikes that have Marley backpedaling.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Marley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gun swats away the attempt to clinch by Marley.
Gun lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gun looks to clinch

and Marley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gun wants to control but Marley is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marley seems to be working for a kimura but Gun defends the submission attempt.
Gun is trying to stand.

Marley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gun keeps working.
Gun is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Marley has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gun tries to control Marley's body but Marley pushes him off. Gun squirms to his side and now Marley has his back!
Gun tries to break free.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Marley's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Gun knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marley on the ground.
Gun controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Gun is trying to get back to his feet but Marley has full control of the position and if anything, Gun has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You can see the frustration on Gun's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Marley tries to get the hooks in deep but Gun pushed the leg off.

Marley looking to break Gun's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Gun remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Marley will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Gun wants to get back to his feet.
Gun trying to control the action but Marley just sinks the hooks in.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gun scores with a nice head shot.
Gun throws a leg kick that misses.
Marley shoots in and drives through. Gun sprawls well.
Marley tries to clinch up but Gun circles away and keeps his distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Marley.
Marley throws a push kick but Gun slaps the foot to one side.
Marley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Top Gun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Marley.

Gun gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Marley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Gun shoots in for a takedown but Marley shows good takedown defense.

Gun darts in and clinches Marley up against the cage.
Gun is looking to break free of the clinch but Marley has double underhooks.
Gun tries to circle away but Marley has him pinned against the cage.
Gun with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Marley pulls guard successfully.
Marley keeping moving, preventing Gun from controlling successfully.
Gun tries to free his leg and advance position but Marley is retaining full guard.

John Marley has got the better of the ground game so far.

Marley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gun gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Marley is breathing heavily.
Marley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gun wants to get up but he can't break Marley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Marley is looking to clinch but Gun is avoiding it.

Gun lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Marley backs up against the cage.
Gun tries to clinch there but Marley circles away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Gun!
Gun avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gun tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gun throws a low kick, looking for Marley's leg but Marley calmly moves out of range.
Marley moves out of range as Gun throws a body kick.
Gun throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Marley clinches with his opponent.

Marley manages to break the clinch.

Gun pushes Marley up against the cage in a clinch.

Marley pulls guard successfully.

Marley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gun is one step ahead there.

Marley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gun defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gun won't allow Marley to sweep him here.
Gun would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marley is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Marley throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Gun because Marley loaded up on that one.
Marley wants to control the pace but Gun is squirming around nicely.
