Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stelio Kontos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lens Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kontos comes to the cage accompanied by Stelio Kontos. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stelio Kontos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lens Adams!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kontos circles away quickly and effectively.
Adams takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kontos moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Adams digs a good body shot into Kontos's ribs.

Kontos lands a nice hook to Adams's body. Adams takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Adams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Kontos's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Adams connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kontos. Kontos circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Adams wants to land a leg kick but Kontos is out of range.

Adams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kontos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kontos is holding Adams down, trying to stall.
Kontos is trying to control Adams's posture but Adams avoids it.

Adams stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Adams wants to control from the top but Kontos keeps moving.

Adams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kontos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Adams has managed to get both his arms back between Kontos's legs - danger averted.

Kontos isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Adams stacks Kontos on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Adams!

Kontos sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Adams wants to control but Kontos is keeping him busy.

Adams seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Kontos is looking for a sweep. Adams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kontos throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Kontos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kontos throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Adams escapes and throws Kontos's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Adams has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
