PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Gonawyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonawyn comes into the arena with Crush 'em - Megadeth blaring out of the sound system. Cain Velasquez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez fails to land with a series of punches.
Velasquez shoots in looking for a takedown. Gonawyn tries to sprawl out of it but Velasquez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gonawyn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Gonawyn is working for a kimura but Velasquez is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gonawyn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Velasquez sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velasquez is looking to control Gonawyn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Velasquez avoid being mounted?
Gonawyn tries to pass to full mount but Velasquez defends it.

A big strike lands for Gonawyn! That's really hurt Velasquez and he's turned his back - Gonawyn keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Gonawyn jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
