The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersoon scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Cathay on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Andersoon scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Cathay is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Andersoon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cathay throws out the jab.
Cathay walks into a stiff left hand from Andersoon.

Andersoon gets tackled into the cage by Cathay. Cathay maintains the clinch.
Andersoon lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Cathay is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Andersoon is defending well for now.

Still in the clinch, Andersoon scores with a nice short uppercut.
It looks like Carl Cathay has been cut.
Andersoon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Andersoon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cathay.

Cathay wants to clinch.
Andersoon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cathay is breathing heavily.
Andersoon fakes the leg kick and cracks Cathay in the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Andersoon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Andersoon knocks Cathay to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Andersoon moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Andersoon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Andersoon wants to control but Cathay is keeping him busy.
Cathay is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Andersoon has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Cathay prevents Andersoon from improving position.
Cathay is pushing Andersoon's head away, looking to escape. Andersoon manages to hold on to the position though.
Cathay takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Cathay managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Andersoon.
Andersoon looks up at the clock and then as Cathay takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Andersoon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Cathay is pushing Andersoon's head away, looking to escape. Andersoon manages to hold on to the position though.

Cathay sneaks out the side door and pushes Andersoon away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Cathay is looking to clinch.
Nice uppercut lands for Andersoon. That snapped Cathay's head back.
Andersoon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cathay moves in looking to clinch but Andersoon pushes him off.
Cathay throws a leg kick
and Andersoon counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Andersoon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cathay tries to bum rush Andersoon with a series of wild strikes but Andersoon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Andersoon lands a right hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Andersoon throws a nice outside leg kick.
Andersoon swats away the attempt to clinch by Cathay.
Cathay tries to move into range but Andersoon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cathay drops his hands for a split second and Andersoon immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Cathay face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Andersoon follows up with a right hand that knocks Cathay into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
