The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omega misses with a wild combination.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oliveira goes for an armbar but Omega turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Omega.

Oliveira is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Omega is aware though and is defending well.
Oliveira bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Omega's guard.
Omega is trying to control the position but Oliveira postures up.
Oliveira will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Omega goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Oliveira has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Omega is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Oliveira is controlling him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Oliveira is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Omega lands with a right that hurts Oliveira. Oliveira looks to clinch but Omega throws a short knee that drops Oliveira. This one is all over!
