Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francesco Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daryl Schillaci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schillaci has chosen War Machine By Kiss as his entrance music. Francesco Lucas looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daryl Schillaci!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas misses with a hook. Schillaci ducked under it nicely.
No luck for Schillaci with that takedown attempt.
Schillaci shoots in for a double leg but Lucas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Schillaci fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lucas avoids it really well and circles away.
Francesco Lucas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daryl Schillaci.
Schillaci moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Schillaci shoots in looking for a takedown but Lucas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Schillaci's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Schillaci looks gassed!
Schillaci takes one to the side of the head.
Francesco Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lucas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Schillaci looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Schillaci throws a few strikes from the bottom but Lucas takes advantage and mounts!
Schillaci keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lucas trying to control but Schillaci is having none of it.
Schillaci is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Lucas looking to control but Schillaci is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
BOOM! Lucas connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Lucas breaks from Schillaci's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lucas is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The referee warns Schillaci that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Lucas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lucas jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Schillaci is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Schillaci and Lucas has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Lucas is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Schillaci is trying to escape and Lucas transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Schillaci is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lucas! Very nice indeed!
