The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lee throws a leg kick but Rodriguez sees it coming and moves out of range.
Lee lands with a right hand.
Lee scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Rodriguez checks the leg kick nicely there.

Eric Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lee as he jumps to the side.
Lee throws a nice looking combination but Rodriguez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rodriguez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rodriguez slips a nice elbow through Lee's hands, connecting with Lee's forehead.
Rodriguez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Lee!
Lee is in a horrible position here. Rodriguez smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rodriguez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lee looks a forlorn figure.

Rodriguez loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Lee scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rodriguez land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rodriguez stands and salutes the crowd.
