The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Famine tries to keep at a distance but Hoehne has taken the fight into the clinch.
Famine has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hoehne after a bit of a struggle.

Famine is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hoehne is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Famine to the mat. Famine regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hoehne is working Famine over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Famine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoehne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoehne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hoehne drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hoehne jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
