Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Hoehne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave McFace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matthew Hoehne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dave McFace!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFace stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McFace wants it to stay on the feet.
Hoehne fails with a takedown attempt.
McFace has a takedown stuffed.

Hoehne gets a double leg takedown into McFace's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

McFace is looking for a triangle but Hoehne pushes his legs off easily.
Hoehne trying to control the position from guard on top but McFace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hoehne throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McFace works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hoehne trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
McFace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoehne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McFace bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hoehne's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hoehne is on top in guard.
McFace is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McFace avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hoehne gets to his feet - McFace follows without any prompting.
McFace is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hoehne sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
McFace looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Matthew Hoehne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave McFace.

Hoehne gets a takedown into half guard.

Hoehne is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McFace doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hoehne.
McFace is trying to control but can't.

Hoehne is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McFace sees it coming and defends easily.

Hoehne lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hoehne is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McFace defends it well.
Hoehne trying to control from half guard but McFace is working away.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hoehne lands a nice short elbow.
McFace is staying active underneath Hoehne, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hoehne takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hoehne is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Hoehne is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McFace defends it well.

McFace trying to hold on to Hoehne's head to control him but Hoehne postures up.
McFace looks gassed!
McFace wants to improve his position but Hoehne is controlling well.
Hoehne working the head and body with strikes.
McFace avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hoehne.

Hoehne not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hoehne wants to take a breather but McFace is having none of it.
Hoehne passes to side control.
Hoehne passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McFace!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Hoehne has control of McFace's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McFace regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hoehne blocks McFace's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hoehne looking to control but McFace is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hoehne has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McFace's face.


McFace is rocked!
Hoehne connects with a bit shot that sees McFace covering up! More strikes from Hoehne and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Hoehne is our winner by TKO!
