Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between German Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Nixon will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, German Valdez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Nixon!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Nixon.
Valdez shoots in looking for a takedown but Nixon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Valdez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nixon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Valdez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nixon misses with a double jab.
Nixon stuffs the takedown attempt from Valdez. Valdez gets slowly back to his feet.
Valdez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nixon sprawls well. Nixon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Valdez gets slowly back to his feet.

Nixon misses with a jab, cross combination.

Valdez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Valdez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

German Valdez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
I would not like to be Nixon right now.
