PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dee Nyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nyde's entrance music is Get cape Wear cape-Fly. A fine choice. Oscar Payne told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dee Nyde!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Payne!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Payne shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Payne seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nyde does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Payne is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nyde defends it well.
