PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Amsterdam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Jonsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonsson has chosen Kickstart My Heart as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonsson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Amsterdam could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jonsson closes the distance and clinches up with Amsterdam, looking for a takedown. Jonsson pushes Amsterdam against the cage but Amsterdam circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Amsterdam.
A decent looking cross lands there for Amsterdam.

It looks like Magnus Jonsson has been cut.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Amsterdam enables Jonsson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Amsterdam manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jonsson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jonsson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Amsterdam is working an open guard so Jonsson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jonsson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amsterdam sprawls well. Amsterdam wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jonsson gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnny Amsterdam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magnus Jonsson.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Amsterdam - that will leave a mark!

Jonsson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Amsterdam fakes the leg kick and cracks Jonsson in the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Johnny Amsterdam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab lands there for Amsterdam.
Amsterdam goes for a small jab and connects. Now Amsterdam goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Jonsson stumbles back but Amsterdam runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Jonsson to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Jonsson will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
