Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Staley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Simms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simms takes a kick to the side of the head.
Staley ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A combination from Simms does no damage.
Staley shoots in looking for a takedown. Simms tries to sprawl out of it but Staley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Simms manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Simms bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Simms throws a strike aimed at the side of Staley's head but Staley avoids it well.
Staley tries to escape but Simms is in control.
Simms lands some shots froms side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Staley is trying to buck Simms off.

Simms tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Simms in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Simms postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Simms has hold of Staley's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Staley tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Simms cranks the arm and Staley screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Staley, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
