Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rendo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musasi Miyamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Musasi Miyamoto!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a sloppy head kick and Miyamoto moves out of range easily.
Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miyamoto circles away.

Gracie drives through and clinches with Miyamoto against the cage.

Gracie drags the fight down to the ground.
Gracie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miyamoto defends it easily.
Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Miyamoto drops back looking for a leg! Gracie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gracie manages to kick Miyamoto off! Miyamoto jumps back into Gracie's guard.
Miyamoto wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Musasi Miyamoto wasn't active enough on the ground.

Gracie has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gracie is trying to pull guard but Miyamoto turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gracie is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Miyamoto is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rendo Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miyamoto wants a takedown but no success here.
Miyamoto drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gracie pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rendo Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Miyamoto circles away.

Gracie wants to get back to full guard but Miyamoto has passed into side control.

Gracie is trying to control Miyamoto's posture but Miyamoto avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Miyamoto tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Gracie is trying to control Miyamoto's posture but Miyamoto avoids it.

Miyamoto is trying to get an arm triangle but Gracie is defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gracie is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Miyamoto is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rendo Gracie will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Miyamoto did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
Gracie wants to control but Miyamoto is keeping him busy.
Miyamoto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gracie is working away from the top position though.
Gracie wants to take a breather but Miyamoto is having none of it.
Miyamoto gets full guard.

Miyamoto looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gracie postures up and lands a big shot to Miyamoto's brow.
Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gracie has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Gracie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Gracie is posturing up here but Miyamoto has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Gracie tries to roll out but it's too tight and Gracie has to tap! Slick submission there by Miyamoto!
