The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Ramirez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ramirez connects with a body shot.
Ramirez catches OConnell with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
OConnell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
OConnell loads up on a big right hand but Ramirez slips the punch.
OConnell thows a body shot but no joy.
Ramirez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
OConnell misses with a few strikes there.
Ramirez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
OConnell walks into a stiff left hand from Ramirez.


Seamus OConnell's cut is getting worse.
Seamus OConnell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from OConnell misses.
OConnell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
OConnell looks to land a right hand but Ramirez moved out of range.
Ramirez thuds his right hand into OConnell's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ramirez's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ramirez duly obliges.
OConnell throws an overhand right that lands on Ramirez's shoulder, as Ramirez tries to avoid the shot.
Ramirez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.


Seamus OConnell's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Ramirez bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of OConnell's head.

OConnell takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from OConnell.
Ramirez is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! OConnell had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Ramirez cracks OConnell with a hook to the temple - OConnell is on wobbly legs here! Ramirez swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! OConnell falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Ramirez wins by TKO!
