Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Colt McLaren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nikolai Peterson !
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLaren shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peterson as he avoids it easily.
Peterson cracks McLaren with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
McLaren misses with a straight left.
Peterson throws a series of punches but McLaren moves out of range.
McLaren connects with a body shot.
McLaren throws a body punch but Peterson moves out of range.
McLaren swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Peterson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Peterson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McLaren.
McLaren tries for a takedown but Peterson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Peterson connects with a good right hand that stumbles McLaren. McLaren circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McLaren keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McLaren throws a series of punches but Peterson moves out of range.

McLaren shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Peterson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McLaren stacks Peterson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McLaren!

Peterson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McLaren pulls his head out easily.

McLaren is looking to take a break and control but Peterson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McLaren looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Nikolai Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLaren fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

McLaren wants to clinch up but Peterson keeps it at a distance.
Peterson throws a lazy right hand but McLaren sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McLaren has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

McLaren doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Peterson looks to land a combination but McLaren avoids it well.

McLaren's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Peterson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McLaren scrambles back to his feet.

McLaren shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McLaren was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Peterson tries to reverse the position but McLaren maintains control.

McLaren feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McLaren accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McLaren in particular looking to stall.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McLaren landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
McLaren looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peterson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Colt McLaren showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for McLaren, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
