Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Great Atom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atom comes to the cage accompanied by Fast Lane. Jeffrey Chambers has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atom clinches up against the cage.

Atom jumps guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Chambers drops back looking for a leg! Atom is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Atom manages to kick Chambers off! Chambers jumps back into Atom's guard.
Chambers won't allow Atom to sweep him here.
Atom preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Chambers wants to pass the guard but Atom is keeping the position.

Chambers decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Atom, up you get!
Chambers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Atom as he avoids it easily.
Atom misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chambers.
Atom leaves Chambers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Atom fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Chambers on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Atom. Atom obviously looking to wear him down.
Chambers shoots in looking for a takedown. Atom tries to sprawl out of it but Chambers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Atom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Great Atom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeffrey Chambers.

Chambers scores a takedown into full mount!
Atom is trying desperately to improve position.
Atom tries to lock up and control but Chambers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The referee warns Atom that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Chambers is landing with some decent strikes but Atom is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Chambers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chambers prevents Atom from getting the reversal.

Chambers jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Atom manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Chambers wants to control but Atom is keeping him busy.

Chambers has hold of Atom's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Atom tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Chambers cranks the arm and Atom screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Atom, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jeffrey Chambers!
