Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zane Feoktistov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Feoktistov which made him look bad.
Nice sprawl there from Feoktistov as Smith shoots in.
Feoktistov stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Feoktistov defends it nicely.

Feoktistov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smith's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Feoktistov throws an elbow that misses. Smith uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Feoktistov's guard. Nice move by Smith!

Smith not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Feoktistov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Feoktistov can't keep his opponent in guard - Smith advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Smith is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Feoktistov defends it well.

Nick Smith has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Feoktistov lands a leg kick that knocks Smith off balance momentarily.

Feoktistov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Feoktistov is posturing up here but Smith has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Feoktistov tries to roll out but it's too tight and Feoktistov has to tap! Slick submission there by Smith!
