Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Mulroney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carl Panzram!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panzram moves out of range of the body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Mulroney. No joy for Panzram on that attempt.
Panzram keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mulroney lands a nice shot to the body.
Mulroney misses with a shot to the body
and Panzram counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Panzram misses with a straight right.
Mulroney displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Panzram throws out the jab.
Panzram moves out of range of the body kick from Mulroney.
Mulroney wants to clinch up but Panzram keeps it at a distance.

Mulroney shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mulroney was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Panzram can't escape the position.
Mulroney takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Panzram is looking to get to half guard.
Panzram has given up his back. Will we see Mulroney going for some submissions?
Panzram looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Panzram can't escape the position.
Panzram manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mulroney's guard. Nice work there by Panzram.

Panzram avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mulroney bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Panzram's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Panzram is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Panzram not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Panzram wants to sweep here but Mulroney controlling him for the moment.
Mulroney stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Panzram swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Panzram looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mulroney is one step ahead there.

Panzram looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mulroney passes into half guard.
Panzram is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mulroney is looking to take a break and control but Panzram is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mulroney is working for a kimura but Panzram is defending it quite comfortably.
Panzram wants to improve his position but Mulroney is controlling well.
Panzram is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mulroney's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mulroney's back!
Mulroney has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Panzram.

Panzram patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Mulroney tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Poor strikes thrown by Panzram there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Panzram throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Panzram has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mulroney defend it? Panzram steps over the head and cranks it - Mulroney is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Panzram!
