Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Heydar Aliyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Athan Stamatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aliyev kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 'Let's Get It On' by Marvin Gaye. The crowd seem to be enjoying Stamatis's choice of entrance music: Lose Yourself. Heydar Aliyev looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamatis misses with a low kick.
Aliyev on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Stamatis goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Aliyev tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stamatis was well out of range. Poor timing from Aliyev.
Aliyev wants to clinch up but Stamatis keeps it at a distance.

Aliyev throws a front kick that sends Stamatis stumbling back into the cage.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stamatis, as that shot connected.
Aliyev throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
A solid leg kick lands there for Stamatis.
Stamatis is looking to slow Aliyev down with leg kicks.
Stamatis has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Aliyev has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Stamatis.

Stamatis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aliyev with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stamatis lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Stamatis postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Aliyev badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Stamatis around the waist but Stamatis pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Stamatis is the winner by TKO! Stamatis jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
