The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamma looks for a takedown but Gusman sprawls well.
Gusman lands a body shot.
Mamma on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mamma takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Katt Mamma has been cut.
Gusman with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Gusman prevents Mamma from improving his position.
Gusman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mamma keeps working.
Mamma wants to control but Gusman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gusman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Gusman winds up and cracks Mamma with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mamma is looking for a sweep. Gusman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gusman is taking a breather. Mamma says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gusman drops an elbow to the side of Mamma's head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gusman connects with a nice short shot to Mamma's temple.

Mamma is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gusman pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mamma has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gusman doesn't defend quickly enough and Mamma has managed to lock this one up! Can Gusman escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mamma on a fantastic submission victory.
