Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Segre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Segre avoids them all with ease.
Segre is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Segre circles away quickly and effectively.
Johnson tries to bum rush Segre with a series of wild strikes but Segre uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Segre moves forwards but Johnson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Segre tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Segre shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.

Carlos Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Segre closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away.

Johnson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Segre ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Segre no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Horrible takedown by Segre or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad.
