Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Twelf Thermandin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Pembelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thermandin comes to the cage accompanied by Prelude 12 by Styx. Pembelton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hail Mary by Tupac kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pembelton throws a lazy right hand but Thermandin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thermandin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pembelton connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thermandin scrambles back to his feet.
Pembelton avoids a kick to the body.
Thermandin slaps away a takedown attempt from Pembelton, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Thermandin throws out a leg kick but Pembelton moves out of range and Thermandin only half commits.
Thermandin tried to score with a low kick but Pembelton checks it.

Pembelton shoots in looking for a takedown. Thermandin tries to sprawl out of it but Pembelton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thermandin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pembelton lands with an uppercut that bounces Thermandin off the cage and back into range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pembelton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Thermandin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pembelton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Thermandin has his foot on Pembelton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pembelton works his way back into a safe position though.
