Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiranuka Stakanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chico Escuela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stakanu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Oy, To Ne Vecher. Escuela comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wu-Tang Clan - Protect Ya Neck kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escuela tries to clinch there but Stakanu circles away.
Escuela misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Escuela keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stakanu.
The fighters circling - Stakanu throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Escuela connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stakanu. Stakanu circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Stakanu misses with a looping left.
Escuela tries to land a front kick but Stakanu steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Escuela lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Escuela throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stakanu was covering up waiting for the punch and Escuela finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Stakanu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Escuela is one step ahead there.
Escuela is pushing down on Stakanu's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stakanu is fighting to maintain full guard but Escuela has managed to sneak the leg through.
Escuela is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stakanu defends it well.

Stakanu tries to roll over but Escuela keeps him under control.

Stakanu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Escuela is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stakanu scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Stakanu is landing with some decent strikes but Escuela is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Stakanu lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stakanu has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Escuela's face.

It looks like Chico Escuela has been cut.
Stakanu lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Escuela! Stakanu sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Escuela and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
