PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago De Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Mallon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Santos comes into the arena with Drop the World blaring out of the sound system. Mallon has chosen im not afraid as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mallon lunges at De Santos with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by De Santos's hand.

It looks like Thiago De Santos has been cut.

De Santos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mallon is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, De Santos asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. De Santos connects with a nice short shot to Mallon's temple.

De Santos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mallon defends it well.
De Santos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mallon tries to roll over but De Santos keeps him under control.

De Santos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mallon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
