Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wicked Tinkers: Bog. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Nelson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rex Tyler!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson lands a body shot.
A jab from Nelson does it's job there.
Jake Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nelson. Tyler does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nelson throws a hook but Tyler avoids it easily.
Nelson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tyler defends it nicely.
Tyler shoots in but Nelson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nelson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tyler doesn't seem bothered though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Tyler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nelson avoids it really well and circles away.
Tyler on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Tyler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nelson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nelson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Tyler wants to pass the guard but Nelson is keeping the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jake Nelson just wasn't active enough.
Nelson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tyler sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Tyler postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nelson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tyler, into his guard.
Tyler has momentary wrist control but Nelson slips an elbow through the middle.

Nelson postures up in Tyler's guard and throws a big left but Tyler blocks it.
Nelson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nelson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tyler gets his way!

and Tyler decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nelson's guard.

Well, if Nelson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Nelson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Tyler is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nelson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nelson's back!

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Jake Nelson will probably get the nod.

Nelson is stalling here. Tyler is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Nelson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tyler has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Nelson lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Nelson is landing big shots and Tyler is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 5, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Nelson!

After the fight, Jake Nelson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
