PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evander Holyshit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cookie Monster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holyshit comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Wayne- I feel like dying. Monster has chosen Cookie Monster Eating Cookie as his entrance music. Monster has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evander Holyshit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Cookie Monster!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monster gets tackled into the cage by Holyshit. Holyshit maintains the clinch.
Monster looks gassed!
Monster tries to break the clinch but Holyshit is controlling the position.

Holyshit is trying to trip Monster. He has hold of a leg but Monster is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Holyshit persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Holyshit in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Holyshit looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Holyshit throwing strikes from guard but Monster blocks nicely.
Holyshit is working Monster over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Monster controls Holyshit momentarily but Holyshit frees himself.
Holyshit landing some decent shots from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holyshit seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Holyshit drops back looking for a leg! Monster is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Monster manages to kick Holyshit off! Holyshit jumps back into Monster's guard.
Holyshit stands up over Monster, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Holyshit is in close to Monster's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Holyshit chips away with some ground and pound.
Holyshit showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Holyshit in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Monster avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Holyshit is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Holyshit wants to control from the top but Monster keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Evander Holyshit wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Holyshit lands a head shot.

It looks like Cookie Monster has been cut.

Holyshit feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Monster sprawling to the canvas! Monster rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Holyshit finish him?!

Monster is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Holyshit thows a left - swing and a miss!

Holyshit misses the jab.
Holyshit throws a powerful right kick. Monster tried to block low but the kick was high! Monster was taken right off of his feet! Holyshit jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
