Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Punch Drunk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yama Lakes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yama Lakes!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drunk doesn't manage to clinch there - Lakes circles away.
Lakes throws a shot to the body.
Drunk lands a glancing blow to the side of Lakes's head.

It looks like Yama Lakes has been cut.

Drunk instigates a clinch.
Lakes is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Drunk gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Drunk wants the takedown. Lakes is fighting it off but Drunk persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lakes's guard against the cage.
Drunk postures up and lands a big shot to Lakes's brow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Drunk looking to sit in guard and control but Lakes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Drunk wants to stand but Lakes is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lakes trying to control the position from guard on top but Drunk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Drunk is looking to stand up but Lakes isn't so interested in that idea.
Lakes trying to control but Drunk is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Yama Lakes.
Lakes tries a head kick but it misses.
Drunk leaves Lakes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Drunk. No joy for Lakes on that attempt.
Punch Drunk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yama Lakes.
Drunk misses the shot to the body.

Drunk keeps control of Lakes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Drunk jumps guard and drags Lakes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Drunk is looking to stand up but Lakes isn't so interested in that idea.
Drunk on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Drunk tries to get out of the position.
Drunk trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Lakes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Drunk can't keep his opponent in guard - Lakes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

It looks like Lakes is going to stand back up.
Drunk wants to get back to his feet.

Lakes is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Drunk has managed to free his arm - good work.
