Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Villar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Gi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Villar comes to the cage accompanied by Mainit. Kai Gi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villar throws a head kick but Gi moves out of range.
Gi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Villar throws a head kick that misses
and Gi counters with a head kick. That will keep Villar thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Villar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chris Villar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Villar scores with a leg kick.
Villar throws a low kick, looking for Gi's leg but Gi calmly moves out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Villar. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Villar.
Gi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Villar changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Villar tries to work over Gi's front leg with a kick but Gi checks it.
Villar misses with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Villar throws a head kick but Gi moves out of range.
Villar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chris Villar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Villar connects with a body shot that sends Gi's belly button to the back.
Villar fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gi.
Gi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Gi blocks a head kick by Villar.
Villar connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Villar misses with a jab, cross combination.
Villar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Villar sizes up Gi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Gi counters with a series of strikes. Villar will be more careful next time no doubt.
Villar lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Gi throws a sloppy head kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Gi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Villar lands a high kick!
Villar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Villar lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Gi sprawling to the canvas. Villar follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Gi hang on?
Gi is rocked!
Villar is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Gi is still in real trouble! Can Villar finish him?
Nice strikes from Villar there.
Villar lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gi quite badly. Gi pulls Villar in close trying to recover. Villar postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gi on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gi doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Villar!
