Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman leaves Benson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Benson tries to land a front kick but Freeman steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Freeman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Benson eats them both and turns towards Freeman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Benson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Freeman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Benson avoids the head kick by Freeman.
Benson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Freeman.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Benson throws a lazy right hand but Freeman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Freeman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Benson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Benson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Benson moves in looking to clinch but Freeman pushes him off.

Benson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Freeman sprawls well initially but Benson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Benson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Freeman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Benson is looking to take a break and control but Freeman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Benson moves into full mount! Freeman won't be happy about that!
Benson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Freeman wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Benson.

Benson thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Freeman is trying desperately to improve position.
Benson content just to control the position here.
Benson tries to control but Freeman wriggling away.
Benson prevents Freeman from getting the reversal.

Benson is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Freeman is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Freeman flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Benson anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Freeman and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Benson slips an arm under Freeman chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Benson has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Benson is squeezing on Freeman like an anaconda would it's prey. Freeman fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
