Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maximillion Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butler comes to the cage accompanied by Comeback Kid. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Maximillion Butler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacob Smith!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smith has time to react.
Smith misses with a takedown
letting Butler counter with a right hand.
Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Butler but Butler pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jacob Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith tries to clinch

and Butler decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smith's guard.

Smith is looking for a triangle but Butler pushes his legs off easily.
Butler lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Butler wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Butler throws a big right hand that misses.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Butler's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Smith wants to improve his position but instead Butler has moved into half guard.
Butler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Butler is working for a kimura but Smith is defending it quite comfortably.
Butler lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Butler seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Smith is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Butler pulls his head out easily.
Butler lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Smith quite badly. Smith pulls Butler in close trying to recover. Butler postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Smith on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Smith doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
