The crowd seem to be enjoying Kanen's choice of entrance music: BURN ONE DOWN. Samor Kanen acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kauffman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kauffman throws a looping overhand right but Kanen ducks down to avoid it.
A clash of legs there as Kauffman blocks the low kick.

Kanen lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Kanen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kauffman looks to land a left hand but Kanen moved out of range nicely.
Kauffman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kanen.
A jab lands there for Kanen.
Kauffman takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kauffman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kanen tries to avoid it but Kauffman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kanen to the ground. Kanen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Samor Kanen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kauffman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kanen's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kanen seems keen to control Kauffman's posture.

Kanen throws a solid leg kick but Kauffman takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kanen.

Kauffman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kanen as he jumps to the side.
