Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Dorkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dorkin has chosen Duelling Banjos as his entrance music. Alan Dorkin struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Mike Jones could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alan Dorkin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alan Dorkin!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jones breaks the clinch.
Dorkin stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones tries for a takedown but Dorkin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dorkin tries to clinch up
so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dorkin wants to sweep but no luck.

Dorkin wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Dorkin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dorkin wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.
Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jones is stalling in the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dorkin tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dorkin's guard.
Jones stops Dorkin from standing up.
Dorkin looks gassed!
Dorkin is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Dorkin jumps guard but Jones stands there with Dorkin around his waist. Dorkin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dorkin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dorkin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Dorkin is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Dorkin goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dorkin wants to clinch but Jones slips to the side
and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dorkin won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dorkin trying to control but Jones flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Oooh a big shot gets through from Jones. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Dorkin looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Dorkin rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Dorkin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones throws a body punch but Dorkin moves out of range.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Dorkin - that will leave a mark!
Dorkin darts in trying to clinch
and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones.

Jones stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Dorkin closes the distance but Jones moves to the side
and Jones counters by moving into the clinch.
Dorkin fails to pull guard.
Dorkin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jones clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Dorkin is controlling the position but Jones somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Jones is staying active underneath Dorkin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jones trying to control from the bottom.
Jones tries to roll over but Dorkin keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones is controlling Dorkin's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones moves into the clinch successfully.
Jones tries to score a body lock takedown but Dorkin shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
The referee calls for Jones to work.
Jones breaks the clinch.
Jones lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Dorkin can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Jones and Dorkin drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Jones.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Jones!
