The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov throws a shot to the body.
Madsen tried to score with a low kick but Magomedov checks it.
Madsen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Magomedov manages to avoid it.
Magomedov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Madsen on the side of the head.

It looks like Gunnar Madsen has been cut.
Magomedov misses with an uppercut.
Magomedov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Magomedov throws a nice looking combination but Madsen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Magomedov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Magomedov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Madsen regains guard immediately.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
