Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Kimboso Akamawah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Nolan!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nolan shoots in for a takedown but Akamawah shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nolan fails to land with a series of punches.

Nolan moves into the clinch.
Akamawah misses with some punches.
Akamawah is trying to break the clinch but Nolan has him pressed against the cage.
Nolan lands with a light punch inside.

Nolan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Akamawah is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Nolan.
Nolan scores with a nice strike.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nolan moves into the clinch.

Nolan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Akamawah throws a series of punches but Nolan moves out of range.
Akamawah is breathing heavily.

Nolan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Akamawah, pushing him back against the cage.
Nolan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Nolan continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Nolan lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Akamawah has had enough of the clinch but Nolan keeps him there for the moment.

Akamawah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nolan rushes Akamawah and presses him up against the cage.

Akamawah fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Akamawah is trying to break the clinch but Nolan is controlling him.
Nolan takes an elbow to the forehead.

Nolan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nolan throws a series of punches but Akamawah avoids them all with ease.

Nolan gets a clinch.
Nolan is trying to break the clinch but Akamawah is controlling him.
Akamawah tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Nolan breaks from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nolan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Nolan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Akamawah's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nolan stands up over Akamawah, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Nolan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Akamawah is keeping the position for now.

Nolan stands and steps away. Akamawah gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Nolan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nolan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Akamawah wants to sweep but no luck.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Akamawah keeping full guard, as Nolan tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nolan wants to control from the top but Akamawah keeps moving.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nolan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Nolan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Akamawah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. David Nolan wasn't active enough on the ground.
A clash of legs there as Akamawah blocks the low kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nolan just misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Nolan dominated that round.
That's time! Akamawah's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Nolan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Nolan is nestled in close to Akamawah, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Nolan stands up out of the half guard.
Akamawah tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nolan was well out of range. Poor timing from Akamawah.
Akamawah feints a jab promting Nolan to slip. Akamawah then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Nolan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Akamawah fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Akamawah takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Nolan throws a right hand that Akamawah ducks under and follows up with a left that Akamawah also avoids with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Nolan closes the distance and clinches.

Nolan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nolan misses with a jab, cross combination.
A jab from Nolan finds it's way through Akamawah's defenses.


Akamawah is rocked!
Nolan weaves into range and cracks Akamawah right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Akamawah goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Nolan is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
