Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sven Ulrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nam Phan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ulrick comes to the cage accompanied by Carolus Rex - Sabaton. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ulrick fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Phan to the ground. Ulrick is now in Phan's guard.
Ulrick tries to free his leg and advance position but Phan is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Phan wants to stand but Ulrick is controlling the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ulrick accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sven Ulrick overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Phan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ulrick connects with a decent elbow.
Phan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ulrick wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ulrick is working Phan over with some ground and pound from side control.
Ulrick scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Phan is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Ulrick can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
