Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otis Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akuma Zetto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gein comes to the cage accompanied by Puritania. Zetto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica - All Nightmare Long. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zetto avoids a punch combination nicely.
Zetto tries to clinch up but Gein circles away and keeps his distance.
Zetto looks to land a right hand but Gein moved out of range.
Zetto on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Gein misses with a wild body shot.
Gein fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zetto moves out of range as Gein strikes.
Zetto gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Gein takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gein throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Gein takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Gein connects with a body shot.
Zetto takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Zetto ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gein defending well as Zetto loads up on a big left hand.
Zetto lands a really nice looking cross but Gein seems unphased.
Zetto jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gein throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zetto.
Gein tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zetto was well out of range. Poor timing from Gein.

and Zetto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Zetto throws a big shot that misses.
Zetto changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Zetto connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gein momentarily.

Zetto ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Gein slips a straight right by Zetto.
Gein throws a push kick but Zetto slaps the foot to one side.
Gein looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gein looks for the body kick but Zetto saw that one coming.
Gein misses with an uppercut.
Zetto throws a looping overhand right but Gein ducks down to avoid it.

and Gein decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zetto's guard.

Zetto is trying to keep Gein in close.
Gein in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Gein throws an elbow that misses. Zetto uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gein's guard. Nice move by Zetto!
Gein is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gein holds on and takes a little breather.
Zetto must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Zetto tries to free his leg and advance position but Gein is retaining full guard.

Zetto drops back looking for a leg! Gein is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gein manages to kick Zetto off! Zetto jumps back into Gein's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gein is on top in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Otis Gein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gein postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Zetto looks a forlorn figure.

Gein swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Zetto is now in Gein's guard. A big mistake from Gein there, giving up the dominant position!

Gein unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Zetto wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Gein celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
