Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Surge Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Young has chosen Shut 'Em Down as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Surge Kongo has been cut.
Kongo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Young rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kongo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No joy there for Young, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Young lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Young throws a right and a left that both miss.
Young throws a right hand that Kongo ducks under and follows up with a left that Kongo also avoids with ease.
Young lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kongo circles away quickly and effectively.
Kongo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kongo scores with a jab. Young acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Kongo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A clash of legs there as Young blocks the low kick.
Kongo swings for the body but Young moves out of range.
Young throws a series of punches but Kongo avoids them all with ease.

Young throws a right and a left that both miss.
Young misses with a double jab
and Kongo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kongo misses with a looping right.

Kongo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kongo wants it to stay on the feet.
Jab, jab by Kongo - just one landing.
Kongo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kongo looks to throw the jab but Young is out of range.
A big left from Young misses.
Young looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Young lands a nice shot that snaps Kongo's head back.
Kongo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Young looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kongo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kongo drops Young with a left right combo! Kongo follows him down to the ground into side control.

Young is rocked!

It looks like Charles Young has been cut.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kongo scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Young is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kongo can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
