Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Njord takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ringer throws a hook but Njord avoids it easily.
Ringer loads up on a big right hand but Njord slips the punch.
Njord scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Ringer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Njord ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ringer moves away.
Ringer misses with an attempted mid kick.
A left and a right from Njord both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Jerry Ringer has been cut.

Ringer closes the distance and clinches.
Ringer fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Ringer wants to take the fight to the mat but Njord manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Ringer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Njord is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Loki Njord has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Ringer.

Njord ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ringer moves away.
Njord misses with a wild body shot.
A slow jab from Njord misses its intended target.
Ringer thuds his shin into the meat of Njord's side.

Ringer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Njord, pushing him back against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Njord creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Njord is trying to force a seperation but Ringer has the dominant position.
Ringer swings wildly with an uppercut but Njord uses good head movement to avoid it.

Njord's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ringer takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Njord stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ringer.

Ringer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Ringer shoots in looking for a takedown. Njord tries to sprawl out of it but Ringer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Njord manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ringer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Njord.

Ringer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Njord utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ringer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Njord swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ringer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ringer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A punch lands to the side of Ringer 's head but he takes it in his stride.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Loki Njord will probably get the nod.

Ringer throws a body punch but Njord moves out of range.
Njord connects with a single shot there.
Njord tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Njord uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Njord uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ringer.
Njord lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ringer at a distance.

Oooooh!!! Njord has knocked Ringer down with a huge combo! Njord steps away and waves a wobbly Ringer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That has opened up Jerry Ringer's cut even more.
Njord connects with a body shot that sends Ringer's belly button to the back.

Njord jabs Ringer to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Njord comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Njord cracks Ringer with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ringer tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Njord pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ringer is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
