The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Light turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Light throws a low kick, looking for Alves's leg but Alves calmly moves out of range.
Alves misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alves tries to close the distance and clinch but Light swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Alves stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Light.
Alves swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Light throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alves. Light does a little dance to reset his feet.
Alves steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Light.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Alves throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Alves throws a hook but Light blocks it.
Alves takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Light steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alves.
Light throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tanduay Light will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Alves clinches up against the cage.

Alves connects with a nasty looking knee right to Light's face.
It looks like Tanduay Light has been cut.

Light lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Alves using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Light has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Alves keeps control of Light as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
