Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Timo Kotipelto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jorge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kotipelto comes to the cage accompanied by Peter Cetera & Amy Grant- Next Time I Fall . Jorge has chosen Back in black as his entrance music. Timo Kotipelto has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Timo Kotipelto!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Jorge!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jorge fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jorge tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kotipelto swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jorge is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kotipelto.

It looks like James Jorge has been cut.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kotipelto just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jorge's brow.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jorge takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kotipelto throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Timo Kotipelto will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jorge shoots in looking for a takedown but Kotipelto manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jorge's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kotipelto feints and then cracks Jorge's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jorge down.
