Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yoshida Kotaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Palowakski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kotaro comes to the cage accompanied by Dance Yourself Clean. Palowakski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Burning Down the House kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fred Palowakski has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yoshida Kotaro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fred Palowakski!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kotaro moves into the clinch.
Palowakski fails to pull guard.
Kotaro tries to land a knee to the head but Palowakski blocks with his arms.
Kotaro throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kotaro connects with a nasty looking knee right to Palowakski's face.


Palowakski is rocked!

Palowakski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Palowakski is still on wobbly legs! Can Kotaro finish him?

Palowakski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kotaro trying to control here.
Palowakski looks to land a strike but Kotaro avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Palowakski postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Palowakski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kotaro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kotaro keeping moving, preventing Palowakski from controlling successfully.
Kotaro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kotaro trying to control the position here.
Kotaro avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Palowakski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Palowakski seems to have recovered his senses.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kotaro holds on and takes a little breather.
Palowakski trying to control the position from guard on top but Kotaro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kotaro trying to keep a closed guard but Palowakski is proving a slippery customer.

Palowakski postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kotaro is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Palowakski, into his guard.

Kotaro decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Palowakski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kotaro's guard.

Kotaro is looking for a triangle but Palowakski pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Palowakski's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kotaro is looking to stand up but Palowakski isn't so interested in that idea.
Palowakski throws a big right hand that misses.
Palowakski wants to control from the top but Kotaro keeps moving.

Kotaro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Palowakski defends it easily.

Palowakski avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Palowakski scoring with punches to the head and body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kotaro is looking to stand up but Palowakski isn't so interested in that idea.
Palowakski trying to control but Kotaro is working from the bottom.
Kotaro pulls Palowakski in close to prevent any damage.
Kotaro wants to get back to his feet but Palowakski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kotaro tries to strike from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Fred Palowakski will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Palowakski is looking to clinch but Kotaro is avoiding it.
Palowakski throws a shot from downtown. Kotaro moves away and avoids it.

Kotaro lands a big head kick that sends Palowakski tumbling to the mat! Kotaro takes a step backwards and waves Palowakski back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Palowakski wants to clinch but Kotaro slips to the side
and Kotaro counters with a right hand from hell and Palowakski is out cold! A vicious knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yoshida Kotaro!
Yoshida Kotaro gave a mention to Black Belt Nutrition #=========||=========# in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
