The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lato misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice takedown defense from Djeiba. No joy for Lato on that attempt.
Djeiba plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Grzegorz Lato has been cut.
Djeiba is looking to clinch but Lato is avoiding it.
Djeiba drops his hands momentarily and Lato takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lato fails with the takedown.

Djeiba fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lato, pushing him back against the cage.
Djeiba with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Djeiba pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Djeiba lands an elbow just above Lato 's eye.

That has opened up Grzegorz Lato's cut even more.

Lato is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lato lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Djeiba backwards.
Djeiba tries a body shot but Lato blocks it.

Djeiba is looking to control Lato's arms but Lato gets an underhook and turns him. Now Djeiba has his back to the cage.
Lato takes a knee right on the jaw!

Grzegorz Lato's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Djeiba breaks from the clinch.
Djeiba tries to bum rush Lato with a series of wild strikes but Lato uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A punch combination from Djeiba misses.
Djeiba swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lato.
Lato fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Djeiba avoids it really well and circles away.
Bud Djeiba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grzegorz Lato.
Lato wants to clinch.

Lato ducks right into an uppercut from Djeiba.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Grzegorz Lato's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
