PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Nikolaevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pirate Bay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikolaevich comes to the cage accompanied by Zed's Dead - White Satin. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Nikolaevich or perhaps it was just good defense by Bay which made him look bad.

Nikolaevich gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bay throwing strikes from guard but Nikolaevich blocks nicely.
Bay has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Pirate Bay.
Nikolaevich shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bay pinned against the cage. Bay gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bay gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nikolaevich to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Nikolaevich has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Nikolaevich throws an elbow that misses. Bay uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nikolaevich 's guard. Nice move by Bay!

Bay stands up and waves to Nikolaevich to follow him.

Bay shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nikolaevich manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nikolaevich tries for a takedown but Bay sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Bay tightens his grip and picks Nikolaevich up, before dumping him to the ground. Nikolaevich manages to land in guard.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Bay. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Nikolaevich just trying to survive but Bay is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Bay looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Nikolaevich is controlling Bay 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bay is looking to sinch up a triangle. Nikolaevich throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bay's body to avoid the submission. Bay has instead reached around Nikolaevich 's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bay arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
