The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Doerner's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Fredderson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Doerner dives on top into guard.
Fredderson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Doerner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Doerner sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fredderson's guard.
Doerner has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Fredderson defend it? Doerner steps over the head and cranks it - Fredderson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Doerner!

Helmut Doerner really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that ANABOLIC LAUNDRY 90% logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
