Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Worsely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saku Sammakko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sammakko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Saku Sammakko. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Worsely!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saku Sammakko!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worsely lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sammakko circles away quickly and effectively.
Sammakko shoots in looking for a takedown but Worsely manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sammakko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sammakko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sammakko avoids a kick to the body.
Sammakko throws a looping overhand right but Worsely ducks down to avoid it.
Worsely throws a leg kick but Sammakko checks it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Worsely.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Worsely, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
