The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deshautelle lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Deshautelle misses with a two punch combination.
A jab from Deshautelle finds it's way through DeSimone's defenses.
Nice uppercut lands for Deshautelle. That snapped DeSimone's head back.
Deshautelle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Deshautelle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. DeSimone swivels though and keeps the full guard.
DeSimone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

DeSimone postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Deshautelle looks a forlorn figure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
DeSimone lands a big elbow.
DeSimone is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Deshautelle can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
