Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mario Braun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Also Zarathustra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zarathustra has chosen Red Birds Will Fly Out Of The East And Destroy Paris In A Night as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mario Braun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Braun, right into the meat.
Braun shoots in for a double leg but Zarathustra sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Braun is looking to clinch.
Braun misses with a double jab.
Zarathustra doesn't manage to clinch there - Braun circles away.
Zarathustra avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Braun shoots in looking for a takedown. Zarathustra tries to sprawl out of it but Braun keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zarathustra manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Braun tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zarathustra sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Braun somewhat.

Zarathustra is looking to take a break and control but Braun is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Braun will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Zarathustra up against the cage.

Zarathustra is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Braun is keeping busy.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Also Zarathustra hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Braun misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Braun uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zarathustra.
Also Zarathustra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zarathustra tries to sprawl but Braun drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Zarathustra is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mario Braun.
I think Zarathustra has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
